Mark your calendar for June 29, 2024 at 1:00PM for an All-Family Meeting on the farm. At the meeting we'll discuss the current state of the tree farm and the recently updated Forest Management Plan, hear a presentation about managing a family tree farm, and share our vision and goals for the future. A meeting link will be sent out ahead of the event for folks joining remotely.

Thank you to everyone who showed up for the December work party that focused on cleaning up in Grandpa's shop. Sorting through a lifetime collection of odds and ends, we evaluated items based on whether it was expensive, rare, or had an immediate use. If not, we tossed it. Also, no assorted bolts. We hauled at least one load to the dump and have six barrels of metal waiting to recycle. Some favorite treasures we found were a Fiat emblem, grandpa's old shovel, a Volkswagen hub cap, and car manuals for every vehicle you can think of.

Also at the December work party, Cheryle, Christian, and Linda hauled down and burned a ton of brush and limbs from around the cross barn and behind Grandma's house.
We received over a foot of of snow in January followed by an ice storm. K-DOT and Neal have done a fantastic job keeping our roads clear and accessible.
Grandma's 89th birthday tea party was a huge success. Thanks to Jen and Grace for organizing the event at an adorable tea house in Tualatin. We all wore our hats and enjoyed picking from over 100 varieties of tea.
We took the girls skiing! They did awesome. We’ve gone twice so far to Northstar resort in Truckee. They love it.
We wanted to get a book to get the girls pumped on skiing and there wasn’t one (that we could find) so I wrote one! It’s now available on Amazon!
We’ve planned a few trips for the travel trailer, including Yosemite, South Lake Tahoe and Amboy. Can’t wait to see y'all there in June!
Camp Easter will be a little different and less formal this year. Families will join anytime from the last week of June through July with the crescendo being June 29th for the All-Family Meeting. Cheryle will be traveling all summer and and has graciously offered up her house for folks coming through. She asks that you clean up after yourself (dishes, sweep floors, change sheets) or coordinate with Grandma to have the house cleaner come after you leave so it's ready for the next person.
The annual seedling sale will be on March 16th in the parking lot of the Battle Ground Albertson's. Set up will start at 7AM with sales starting at 8AM. Get there early if you want the best selection.
We plan to purchase 600 seedlings this year for continued replanting along the power lines and gun range area. Mark your calendar for March 23-24 to help get these trees in the ground. (Or the weekend after if there is still snow on the ground.)
